Re: How to Open a Scorpio Hood if the Cable Snaps

IMNSHO, that maneuver is mucho mas easier if one removes the lower half of the fan shroud first (a knife blade between the upper and lower sections will separate them).

Its essentially the same as putting a 5.0 into an XR as the engine cross members are the same, steering racks are nearly identical, etc.

Earlier somewhere on the Forum I asked if the Scorpio and XR racks are identical and IIRC you replied yes. If not identical, how do they differ?

Re: Re-start Trouble after cold stall

As we should all know - pushing the pedal all the way down during starting will cause the ECCIV to stop firing the injectors (and keep firing the plugs). In theory right, I'm just hesitant to use that approach and it's not working as it should and you've got a whole lot of throttle going on when it...

Re: Re-start Trouble after cold stall

The ECU reading the TPS, on the last pump(s) if the starter is turning-could add more fuel.

Re: Re-start Trouble after cold stall

(Flooded? Did she drive into the pool?)

My two Scorps fire up instantly dead cold. After shut down restarts often are labored-but not always-and depressing the accelerator typically gets them to fire up. Never could track down the cause, but I suspect possibly injector(s) leaking.

I just saw one that said they were $60k new.
Not sure of the actual price new, but I don't believe they were $60k.

Re: Anyone tried the R1 Concepts rotors and pads?

Yes, I have used them many times. The quality is Fine. It's not good, not bad, just fine. It used to be you got fine quality at a much lower cost than other parts, but these days R1 charges what you'd pay for a major brand and the quality is still only so-so. If you want that look, R1 is probably t...

Re: Accuracy of fuel range indication

I've observed that with speed control On, MPG skews slightly favorably even though approaching hills the system increases rpms sharply to maintain constant speed. Whereas with speed control off, on the same/similar route I can modulate the throttle deftly to maintain exact speed without that rpm bur...
