.pdf wiring manual?

I'm interested if anyone might have a .pdf wiring manual for an 89 Xr4ti. I'm wanting to look at a few things over the next couple days and can't wait for the shipping on the cd from mc2. I'm going to purchase that one anyway, just needing something for right now! I'd be willing to spend a few bucks...

Re: Sleepers

Ahhhh, the Omni GLH....I had a fun encounter with a modded one of those a few years ago up in Michigan! At that point in time I was around 270whp in that XR. I came up on him in a corner and he either noticed the intercooler or knew the Xr's and punched it as I got up to him. He started to pull on m...

Re: Buying new autox tires, have some questions...

I didn't do any autox with them, but I loved my rs3 tires on my last xr. They hooked very well and stuck to the corners very well when I was out for a spirited drive.

Re: Is this Mega Squirt right for the XR4Ti?

I'd highly suggest reading up on some information that should have all your answers, then some! Here is the MegaManual which is the key thing you want to read through, http://www.megasquirt.info . Also check out http://www.msefi.com/, http://www.msextra.com/forums/index.php or turboford.org. Many se...

Re: RPM drop

You already know your problem, it's the base idle. You need to figure a way to get some more slack in it otherwise you will keep beating your head against the wall.

Re: big vam la3

It depends really, you have to have an intercooler of some sort to run the la3 due to the more aggressive timing map(the la equipped tbirds all had top mounts). So, if you just did a simple top mount like the turbo coupes/svo's and swapped over the ecu(and made something to allow fresh air to channe...

It sounds as though they might share a common ground. I really wish I had a wiring diagram still, got rid of that stuff a long while ago. Anyone have a vehicle wiring diagram that can check out if these share a common ground?

I never spun up that high, just the stock limiter, so that is good to know for someone planning to spin more rpms!

Re: Exhaust Manifold Replacement

You can really hog out the e6 manifolds and get better shapes than in stock form. Here are some pics of my e6 that I ported vs. a stock e6. I still need to smooth out the ported e6(it looks kind of ugly inside from the rough bits) and get the surfaces trued. But to give you a bit of insight on the p...

That's Rob Booth's, aka Outkast. He sells the body kits as well as many other odds and ins for the Xr's.

Re: Car Problems: Starts/cranks, but will not run

There's a few ways to check, but I always just remove one of the sparkplugs, lay it on top of the valvecover or other piece of metal (the sparkplug needs a ground to spark) with the sparkplug wire on it and turn the ignition over. You should be able to see the spark plug through the little gap of th...

Re: Car Problems: Starts/cranks, but will not run

If this is the first time this has happened, I would highly consider water condensation in the cap. It seems just too much of a coincidence otherwise, even though your charging system sounds in despair. Check her for spark though. If there is spark, I'd look at the charging system. If the charging s...

Re: Mustang V8 T5 machined

Watch for the roller bearings when pulling the input from the case!! I ended up losing two of them in the case and it was a PITA to crack open everything and flush them out!

Re: Mustang V8 T5 machined

When I had my v8 t5 input turned down, the shop had me remove it from the tranny. I doubt many will remove it from the trans and reinstall it as that is more work that they may not be willing to even touch. Best bet there is to just call your local machine shops and ask around. There is a pilot bear...
