Re: Seats, right to left swap

I've swapped Scorpio passenger to driver side in a hour or so. I just had to pay attention to cutting new hole for seat switch.

What took so long to swap Scorpio into xr? Tracks, heated seat and/or seat & backrest electric adjustment?

Do you have a source for the allowable ± variance of ohm and voltage of the engine management sensors?

Re: IAC Issues, Scorp and XR, Maybe the "EEC-IV CHIEF" Knows How To Resolve?

I’m reading this post about Sudden Random High Idle aka “SrHi” = New Acronym for a Scorpio PIA! Obviously, you guys all know so much more than me, but this is my story and I’m sticking to it. Memories of a similar situation I had with my 88 Burgundy Scorpio. It was the engine harness, specifically t...

"I stole my wife's step stool..."
I wonder how many items we "stole" or "borrowed" from our significant other to "fix" a Merkur.

Re: Electrical hell

"had not been started in eight years." I strongly suspect the grounds after sitting this many years. Start with the lights or locks. A good chance your first drive was enough to disturb marginal, corroded grounds. Fuel gauge - might be wires to the fuel tank. Tack - search the XR forum. Did you get ...

Re: Electrical hell

“small electrical issues” This is an understatement! Your list of in-operatives is on a variety of power and ground circuits. “restored the car to running condition” What did you do? You must have made mistakes in the wiring, probably both + and -! Go back and check your wiring. Hopefully, you have...
