Re: WTB Various parts for 88 XR4Ti

Why not stick a Cosworth YB motor in at the same time?

You can even convert to Cossie YB power and AWD---easy one stop shopping... :thumb

Re: Scorpio parts on an XR

Tim, entire rack is same---just the "inner socket assemblies" aka drumsticks as the Pommes call them or "tie rods"--differ... Outers are different too. XRs are tapered, Scorpios are straight 12mm. Outer what? TIE rod END? Tapered? Tapir? Straight? We know the pin is tapered on both and there's a Bi...

Re: Gathering parts for a over the winter T5 swap, diff opt?

I have several bellhousings of different sorts..even had a striaght pull which I lent to a local guy--who then sold the car with it. Also diff kits for Supra diff are done but for a revised top plate.. Phone number is above, and telephone, as archaic as it is, is still the best way to get things don...

Re: Scorpio parts on an XR

The entire ABS setup (Master Cylinder, Wiring harness, computer, wheel sensors). It's simple and easily installed with the rest of the Scorpio Spindles/hubs/bearing carriers. The entire rear subframe will bolt into an XR, except the diff mount. Front Spindles, steering rack (or at least the inner a...

Re: Floor Mats

It'll nevar spewl.

I think you need bigger floor mats cause those will choke off performance.

And they need LED lights and Xratty blinking in color.. :notworthy

Re: Wildwood Brake caliper brackets.

I went with 1.75 up front and will use the 1.38 rear as well (smallest caliper they make and reasonable cost). The master is a t-bird 1-1/8" which I now think is too big. Way too much pedal effort which is why I'm looking into pedal ratios as well as a 7/8 master from Wilwood. cheers James 1 1/8 ma...

Re: Anyone changed the brake pedal ratio?

more force applied to the master with the same pedal effort. I'm looking at various calculators that use pedal ratio, master cal piston diameter, caliper piston area with a goal of 1000-1200 psi line pressure. I think I'll start by ordering a Wilwood brake pressure gauge and see where I'm at. I jus...

Re: Wildwood Brake caliper brackets.

what makes you think they will interfere? mine are mounted in a trailing position. you will have to move the bottom damper mount inboard anyway to prevent the springs on the coilovers from contacting the tires/wheels. I clearly don't understand rear coilovers then. I thought they cleared the tires ...

Tim,
What bore size calipers are you using front and rear? Both Wilwood I assume.
thanks

OK I see you're not a kid---looked for your name.. You still have the Supra? Great! pull the diff and scrap the rest.. That diff should be in the back of the Xratty.. OK..typically when i hear this symptoms its been the big rubber band aka cam belt has jumped some teeth. Didn't see if you confirmed ...

EVERYBODY in the state HATES the "Smog-Nazis"....I also hear horror stories about "importing" a car from anywhere else...Fees, charges, tests, more money, headaches, money....should talk to somebody who has done it. Also an apartment roughly 4 times the size of a telephone booth will cost ONE MILLIO...
