rattle?

My 85 done this, it was a bent shock. Replaced and everything is good. Couldn't tell it was bent because of the plastic cover{housing} was hiding it. Also you should check your gas tank, that the straps are tight.

As far as wiring it in, cut the factory plug off the harness, then wire it straight. I mounted some BOSTON SX55 in the front with very little trouble. Have some CLAIRION 4" in the back, bolt right in.There are some metal brackets for the front for mounting 5x7's. they are stock i believe. Don't forge...

Can't find the same size plugs locally, the depth of the steel ones that i removed seem to be about a 3/8" deep, but the only brass ones i can find around here are about 1/4" deep, or the 1/2" deep. The shallow ones just don't seem to have enough contact surface to hold. Are the deep ones going to be...

thanks for the detailed response. got my fingers crossed that i have an LA or PE comp. the car doesnt have an IC, so chances are not in my favor. to my understanding, big vam+PK comp+no IC is ok. but big vam+LA or PE+no IC=not good. the car does run though. thanks greg
