Supra Diff Install with pictures

I've been working on putting my supra diff conversion in and there's not much in the way of centralized information on this swap. I'll try to put together what I can here. - 4.30 ratio open diff I believe out of an automatic - JVAB diff kit, this is the kit that requires new holes drilled in the tru...

Re: Tilton Master cylinder, Tbird calipers, Powerflex

What Tim said. Typically on a hydro clutch you want to go 1:1 with master vs cylinder size. That being said it has the same dimensions as all the 85 series masters and at half the price you could get your setup mocked up and change it later on if you feel the 7/8" doesn't give you enough leverage.

Re: Outer tca bushing check?

+1 on the nut torque. Idk why they're not just cranked down. At least on all the aftermarket stuff the steel sleeve inside prevents over tightening. I removed my control arms today for new bushing and the nuts were barely snug. Mike Mcreight has some good aftermarket bushings for sale in the classif...

Re: Zetec swap 88 xr4ti

cool,

how much clearance from back of head to firewall? what oil pan and issues clearing the crossmember? Does the zebec use a water rail from the back of the head to the top of the radiator?

These are all issues I had to when putting in my duratec, would be interested in how you are going about it.

Re: 1988 gran tourer build

sounds pretty good. I might suggest keeping rubber strut top mounts and front sway bar mounts. I have poly and am switching back to rubber to remove some harshness, Mississippi can't pay for education, much less roads. Likewise with the trans mount, make sure the trans is nicely isolated and that th...

Re: 87 Rosso Red stockish build

Personally I'd go with the snowflakes, very classic look and 16's with a 50 or 55 series tire is a huge improvement on a merk. I have 17's with 45 series and you can tell there's no give in the sidewall. Also, I don't particularly like the multi-lug look. BTW your car is beautiful. Grab some OEM rub...
