Re: Alternate Heater Control Valve

If you really think you need a valve ( haven't had one in years ) How about two tees and the valve shown earlier? One tee on the output side of the heater core to the hose for the oil cooler and the middle leg to a hose that bypasses the core. the second tee to the bypass hose and heater supply with...

Re: Bleeding T-Bird/Taurus calipers

Your message made me think that I probably bought them from Stainless Steel Brakes - they originally sourced the kit that I bought from BAT - I know that they weren't cheap but did the job. I can't find them on their site ssbrakes.com, but give them a call 1-800-448-7722

The calipers do get to be reversed from the t-bird I believe this will enable the parking brake cable to work as well as position the brake line connection high. 2. The brake lines then connect to the caliper via a "Banjo bolt" with a bleeder fitting - this i...

Re: Another Oil thread. What oil to use?

I use a 10w30 oil that has a high zinc content to reduce engine wear, originally I had used Mobile 1 but around 140K miles my original cam had become very noisy so I switched to Valvoline VR-1 full synthetic racing oil which has a high ZDDP content. There are other similar oils out there. My rationa...
