Re: Stock piling parts for major work...

Joe, Just so you know, it isn't that I don't want to buy Merkur parts, it's that I need a place to store them, I've got higher priorities that need the money worse, etc. Despite that, I have parts that I've forgotten I own and don't remember buying. I also have parts that I remember buying but don't...

Re: Scorpio Info now online

Ed, Can you be more specific or post a link to the section you're having problems with? I just checked it out and everything under "Heating and Cooling" loaded fine (and quickly). Random links from the rest of the handbook also loaded fine. Maybe there's a problem with just one or two sections, but ...

Re: Finding Build/Sales History?

Carfax and/or Autocheck is what comes to mind for me. I don't know how far back their records go and I don't think they have manufacture date, do they?

Finding Build/Sales History?

I received an inquiry from a forum member that I think was meant to be a post. Hi there, Michael here in Ireland. I recently bought a Merkur xr4ti. It's 1988 in terms of year. It's chassis data is as follows WF1BT80W6JM607011. Does anyone know how I can find this cars date of first registration and ...

Re: Original owner since '86 planning updates...

The lights are on the back of the instrument panel, but they are not the same bulbs as the clock. Some have soldered 194s in the holder to replace them, but they aren't 194 bulbs. http://merkurmidwest.com/catalog/i174.html Your link won't display as an image. Here's a shot of the bulb from that pag...

It's been moved back. I'm sure a lot of the other forum readers will appreciate the effort you put into fixing it. I know that had to be a lot of work.

Re: Forum update coming soon

At the moment, access is restricted to just you and the moderators/admins. It was the simplest way of dealing with permissions, but when I'm more awake I could open it up for general viewing while it's being worked on. There was a lot of good stuff in that thread.

Re: Forum update coming soon

Is there a limit to how old a post can be before you can no longer edit it? I want to fix all the broken links in my build thread: http://forum.merkurclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=17035&p=269106 I cannot edit any of my own posts though. Help? Yes, there is an edit timer for most forums. I thi...

Re: How to add a location to my posts?

Go to the User Control Panel

Click the Profile tab

The Edit Profile page should already be selected, but if it's not, select Edit profile on the left.

There's a Location field, right between AOL and Facebook.

Enter your info there.

Re: Ranger roller cam swap with stock lifters?

It's my understanding that the HLAs are the same in all of the 2.3 Lima engines. However, you need to make sure that the followers are designed for the same size valve stem as your existing engine. Ford changed to a different (smaller) diameter valve stem in the 1995 model year.

Re: IMON searchable archives are down....

As an update, they're going to be down for a while. I'm estimating at least a couple of weeks. Sorry I don't have better news, but we will be working to restore them to service and with more up to date content.
