Ummmm, not to bag on ya dude, but when testing really big cables you should do it with power going thru them and look for something like .5V or less, depending on the cable. I just went thru this on my car to diagnose a start-stall-not-wanting-to-maintain-running-when-cold issue. And it did like you...

Hypoxia, I got yer disc out today. I got busy then kept working late. Finally got to work at 5am today so I could get out at a reasonable hour.

Scorpioaddict, yer disc goes out this weekend, as I haven't bought more media yet.

Not that I am aware of. It seems like you have to actually measure the grooves on the pistons to figure out what you need.
