Every relay from the fuse panel. And any relay that has the same specs from other Fords. They are $25.00 a pop new, and sometimes hard to find. Also TFIs, 2.3L dizzies, CFI injectors(for possible E-85 conversions, or injector upgrade), all the switches for Merkurs, and basicly any Merkur specific pa...

Code 10 during KOER test means mash throttle to floor for TPS check. The comp must see WOT. If not TPS is either misadjusted, or needs replace.

Quick and dirty conversion for our cars is about 20% bigger injectors, and about 3psi more FP. Just use a socket and hammer to squeeze the FPR a little to achieve more FP. I haven't done this yet, but will make a sorry attempt when my drivability is fixed.

I went thru the "order" process without completeing it last night, and they appear to have wheels for our car. Same brand, different wheels. If you look closely at the pic you can see the hud are of the wheel is swiss cheese, there's more than one bolt pattern there.

Dude, where did you get her? Mine won't even change a tire, let alone have conversations about cars without her eyes glazing over... At least she knows to tell me the oil light is on, or the check engine light is on...

I think he's been to Bill's trying to get help, or to get Bill to buy the car  My garage pales in comparison to Bills. Maybe you can come up on saturday or something, I'll get Hamstang down here(he has to pick up a part anyway), and we'll party.

I do have a Yahoo group. The link for it is at merkurdesktop.com. Bill's cool. Are you saying there is another red XR in Boulder besides Jims? I need to get the folks that are not on the yahoo group more involved. Allegedly there is a V-8 XR around here. Hamstang is in the Fort, and there's several ...

Cause I work at 55th and Western, and there ain't no 11" there. Maybe in the hills.... I think we got a total(both storms) of 8inches here in Mead, and about the ...

Re: E85 Hot or Not?

Has Anyone done an E85 conversion to their Merkur? I'm more curious of a XR conversion? There are Conversion kits available for 4 Cyl Fords. Though I have yet to talk to a person who sells them. I am also not convinced that at this point in the evolution of E85 that it is economical to do a convers...

March 1987, "PM Owners Report, Merkur XR4Ti; Almost 2 million owner-driven miles add up to a lot of satisfied thrill-seekers in the Lincoln-Mercury camp" by Michael Lamm on page 71: I'll be damned if I'm transposing this entire article. Keep in mind the rear springs are not linear (nor are they progressive). They're dual rate. Huh? I have an MVMA report that says otherwise. It claims they're in fact progressive. Granted the report may not be totally accurate, as it was probably published with specs of what Ford "intended" to build...

That happened to our black Scorpio after I rebuilt the trans. The car just stalled, and would not restart. I wonder if this is the problem with my start-stall-hard/norestart on my XR? I rebuilt the trans in that car too... That's another topic...

Same here.
Yeah I plan on building mine too. Now if I can find somewhere in the garage to put it where I won't hit my head on it... My garage only has lik a 7.5-8ft ceiling for now
