Need some been there done that on what is required. I am working on a 7.5in trac loc swap that would go into the stock pumpkin, but need to do it yet, and I have to check out what gears I can get for the diff, or if mod the stock ring. I love being a masocist, I mean machinist :D

Dr Funk, I had only the ford service manual to go by. If you buy any other books go to www.atsg.biz. Just use the service manual when it somes time to do the check balls. The C-3 is very straight forward to build, and can be done with greater chances of success than the A4(just ask me how I know...)...

The C-4 is for drag racing. The A4LD(A4 from now on), is a Light Duty trans(hence the LD). There was once(I'm beginning to believe he is a myth) a man named Doug Hamby, who allegedly built an A4 that could handle 350+hp, using 4R44E internals.
