Re: 88 XR4Ti - For Sale - MUST GO

Where's yer sense of adventure  As soon as mine is back on the road, I'm selling the cookie cutter Fiesta, and doubling down on the XR. I'll have my bicycle, public transit, and even my feet worst case scenario to get me to and from work. If I can keep up with a bunch of 14 yr old boy scouts at...

Re: 88 XR4Ti - For Sale - MUST GO

It should, however, at some point you may lose 1st as long as the reason reverse is gone is due to a clogged vb, IIRC, or some other issue that doesn't affect the low/revers band. I've thought about doing the same thing, unfortunately I've been told if I bring another car home, I'm sleeping outside ...

Re: 88 XR4Ti - For Sale - MUST GO

That would be a shame to see that interior crushed. Too bad I don't have time to come and fetch it, $500.00 is a steal, even with a bum tranny...

Re: Scorpio Speed sensor question

On closer inspection of the link below, it looks as if the connector on that sensor matches the Contour. I wouldn't buy it until you can verify the connector, especially at $200.00 just for the sensor... It's also for the wrong years too, 94-98. That's the later "frog-eyed" Scorpio. 2nd to last gene...

Re: Scorpio Speed sensor question

I didn't check it against GPS, but it seemed accurate against those speed signs that tell you how fast your going(of course if that sign isn't in calibration...) Everything worked, fuel computer, cruise, speedo. I have not heard of others having a Contour VSS that failed as fast as mine, but then ag...

Re: Scorpio Speed sensor question

When I had a Scorpio I tried the Contour VSS with adapter. The adapter works flawlessly. The Contour VSS I got($54.00 ish from Napa) was junk. It lasted less than 1000mi, and since you have to chop the harness to fit it to the Scorpio the warranty on the Contour VSS is voided. If I still had a Scorp...

Re: Vote for the default forum theme

I prefer full screen usage, but definitely no that black theme. Is there any way to get the pro silver to use the full screen?

Re: Forum update coming soon

Only difference I'm noticing is the color scheme. What was wrong with the previous version, or software(if this is entirely new)?

Re: Forum software update bug reports and comments

I'm fairly sure the rule was always 80x80 and 16kb. You can resize the image using photoediting software. There's free software out there, such as Gimp, or Photo Pos Pro 3(which is what I'm using now).

Re: Forum software update bug reports and comments

Already commented, in other thread, but I'll put it here too: the color scheme is wicked harsh on the eyes. Can it be changed to resemble the old one, or do individuals have the ability to customize their experience once they login?

Re: Forum update coming soon

Can we change the look, either as individuals once we login, or can the look be changed back to something easier on the eyeballs, like the old forum? Current color scheme is not easy to look at.

Re: Motor Mount, Trans Mount, or A4ld?

I'll add my $0.02 There are 3 different trans filter kits, and some parts stores will try to sell you the wrong one, even though their computer says it's right. Every Scorpio I have seen(early 88, late 88, and 89) has had the shallow, flat bottomed pan. Look at yer pan before you go to get the kit, ...
