I had essentially the same thing planned prior to seeing this picture. My solution at the spindle end of the connection to the tie rod was a little different. Seeing...

I need a full set of Hubs from An XR to experiment on. As a special project for one of my mechanical engineering classes I am... I love seeing stuff like this. I performed a tapered roller bearing analysis comparing XR4Ti, Scorpio and Cosworth front bearings for Mechanical Design and my senior desi...

Re: Anglin's Road Car Projects and History

The car was finally sold today. I guess no more updates to this thread. It's moving to Massachusetts and will serve the beater role for another enthusiast.

Re: quadrant.

Any good reviews on the MC2 racing one for daily driving? Godfrey's adjusters have been in production in a couple different revisions for about 10 years now. I haven't heard of a single public complaint. The part is essentially transparent because the car operates just like it did prior to the stup...

Re: "Ray's AKA demonfire's XR4Ti build up"

I would guess that first car off would be sometime between 10 and 11. (Hopefully closer to 10). Ray will probably be there a 4:45 in the morning, because he wakes the sun up each day. If you plan on racing (yes), then 8:30 to 9:00 should give you plenty of time to register and tech the car. Of cours...

I'm saying publically that I'm planning on being at the 6/24/2012 autocross. That must mean it will be true.

Re: DSP to SM build

After seeing a number of other engines (not the 2.3) fail in autocross and road course on slicks due to oil starvation, it got me thinking about mine. I still have the stock oil pan on mine, but I haven't made the switch to r-comps yet. Since you have been running yours for a few years, I figured y...
