Re: should I buy eec tuner or not

I'd say that if you're going to monkey around with engine management, you might as well go a little further and get the MegaSquirt. Perhaps my information about the EEC Tuner is outdated, but I think you've really got to know what you're looking at (hexadecimal numbers, for example) to use it, where...

Re: Rear Camber adjusting wedges

If you're using rear disc adaptors you can have them machined into wedges That's one of the design considerations. Strength would be a concern and there might be some limits on camber and toe adjustment without making the material too thin. The rear disc adapters do hold the calipers after all. Too...

Re: Rear Camber adjusting wedges

I'd be happy to help if you need a test rig. Word. I figured you'd be on board. What are you doing for rear camber alignment right now? I don't think we ever discussed this. Were you thinking of making a variety of wedges? So one can choose to fix 2* camber and say 1/8" toe? or most any common comb...

Re: Stainless Steal Oil Return Line...

Again, and i emphasize this - do not use the -8 line. There is a reason i never put mine up for sale after i upgraded to a custom return setup (-12AN returning to the pan) Ray didn't mention this, but he has pictures of the line he created and its installation in his build thread: http://forum.merk...

Re: Rear Camber adjusting wedges

These are actually something in my project queue. There are a couple ways to improve on the design, IMO, and those design improvments will be incorporated. I've got two other projects going on that are getting my attention right now, so it'll be a little while before the design is done, but it's not...

Re: EGR port plug for exhaust manifold & anti-seize "?"

A bit more progress... I finagled a large wrench and found a means to get it on there with help of a "BFH" (so to speak). It's much better... very little problem if at all. Getting the connection tight is very important. The thread on the brass fitting is NPT, which is tapered to allow the threads ...

... how did we measure up against Eric? He ended up cutting runs of 43.6s (+cone), 42.9s (+cone), 42.7s, 43.8s, 43.6s, 43.4s, 43.5s, 43.3s, 43.6s, and 43.6s for the win. The good news is that with 10 runs at a single event, Eric has completely blown is 2011 tire budget and won't be showing up to Na...

Not that my opinion means much, but that gray is too dark (I'm partial to Strato Silver) and the only color of blue I've *ever* liked on a car is of the World Rally shade.
