Re: Failure Mode for Throttle Position Sensor

My checklist would be: - Clean the throttle body - Blow out the passageways in the throttle-body that connect with the ISC - Check the TPS moves smoothly and the voltage doesn't jump using an analog VOM - Ensure that the bushing/seal is on the TPS shaft to prevent boost air from blowing oil/exhaust ...

Great job. I enjoyed this.

Re: lighting diagrams?

Diagrams have been sent.

Most of the lighting problems are due to a poor ground or corrosion in the taillight cluster. This in turn is caused by a failed tail-light gasket whch causes water to get in.

Re: Age of XR4TI

Correct - they all had a four digit code in yellow paint in the form MMDD. Mine is 1205 meaning December 5th.

Polishing, gas and engine degreaser may have removed this over the years.

Re: Major fire closes I-81 for months

Wow - this will certainly affect a lot of people. PennDOT states that I-81 is cloded in both directions until Monday May 13 but there could be lasting delays. The incident was at the junction with 322, just east of the Susquehanna bridge and due north of Harrisburg.
