I have a question: What means "Coil binds" and "Sleeves binds". Sorry about my poor English. :notworthy :cheers

Re: Coil overs springs rate for a street?

Hi guys, I already order the coil over kit with 300# springs and helpers on Dic the 23rd, but since they were on vacations I have to wait, they will ship the kit this weekend, which is fine with me cause I am in no hurry, but I keep looking to the replies and learn from the tips and experience of al...

Re: Coil overs springs rate for a street?

What if you use the "helpers" (spring helpers) that are offered from mc2? did they help? or, it doesn't matter if you use them or not? the problem is that the main springs are only 8" instead of 10" long?
Thanks for the tips.

Re: Early 88 Merkur Scorpio Restoration Project

Once I replaced an ECT and the rubber ring (form the old one) stayed in the vehicle harness connector...and the new ECT had a rubber ring in it as well. Result = doubled up rubber rings and the voltage from the ECT being erratic / non-existant at times. Might be a long shot, but can't hurt to check...

Re: '86 XR Pace Car On Ebay...

I am in the habbit of buying cars to drive them... But, to each his own... Yep, I am the same, I will never buy a car if I will not drive it. The only time my car/s are in the garage is when something brakes and I am fixing it or I am doing upgrades or regular maintenance. But like you said to each...

If your car have a manual ECU the timing should be at 13* before TDC with the spout off, but if it is an automatic ECU it should be at 10* before with the spout off TDC. :cheers

Re: rear hatach latc/striker not working

My Scorpio wouldn't allow any more adjustments, but was still loose enough that it would thump when driving over bumps. The rubber stops were worn away. I cut a bicycle inner tube to shape and glued them in place on both sides. Problem cured. :D If that doesn't fix yours, you could always buy new o...

Re: Coil overs springs rate for a street?

Thank you everybody for all the tips, opinions and first hand experience, as soon as I get the car on the road again I will drive it all the time, almost always drive the XR by my self and in very rare occasions a co-worker ask me for a ride, I really don't worry about vibrations and the roads here ...

Re: Coil overs springs rate for a street?

Thank you guys, I am thinking 300, but I just check mc2racing page and they don't offer the 300 with the coil over conversion packages. Only 225, 350 and 500, they do have the 300 springs but they sale them separate, I think the 225 are to soft for my and the 350 you guys said are to stiff, I don't ...
