OK- so Wilky is coming down from CAN. through Detroit & Toledo here to Akron(then i-76 to Carlsile with the i-70 crew). I have a buddy coming in from Toledo & I know there's quite a few MI guys, so maybe you guys can arrange to all flow into here at the same time - since the leave time from here is ...

Yeah, have your Escort buddy ride shotgun in your XR and both of you guys still go! There is quite a few Merkur owners who have been at Carlisle without their Merkur for the last 4+ years! Seriously - you should still try to make it!

I think of the two AL 2.3T heads in this respect: Esslinger = More expensive, but a healthy performance upgrade Rapido = Less expensive lightweight "replacement" head Alright, I feel like I'm starting to sound like a salesperson, so I'd better stop :) Honestly, though, the stock XR here would get th...

Well, now things have been finalized (as may of you on IMON already know) and Rapido (in conjuction with the Merkur Village group) will be represented at Carlsile when 2 lucky XRs (one from the US and one from CAN) get the Rapido Aluminum head instaled on them. This will NOT be a vendor booth, no pa...

i-76 Convoy meets up here in Norton, OH (near Akron, OH). Right at the Cleve-Mass Rd. Plaza off of 76. Its about 50 feet off the highway. There is a Gas Station, car Wash, etc. We usually meet at 8:45am and leave at 9:00am. We are on the same time schedule as the mighty i-70 convoy whom we will meet...

Hey Colin, if you don't want to drop down that far south to pick up i-70, we have a i-76 convoy heading out of Ohio. 76 is the OH/PA turnpike & we meet up with the i-70 convoy in PA about 125 miles before carlsile to roll "as one" 8)

Also what is so important that whatever Rapido does is a "secret" with some people have been sworn to secrecy about their upcoming Carlisle Plans. Its only a car show. I think that is the issue more than anything else. Okay, I'm not really "sworn to secrecy" I just don't like to open my mouth...

Sleeping in the XR is great - just bring a pillow/blanket and fold them rear seats down :) Downside is no bathroom/shower :(

Well you better kick that husband of yours into gear, then!
I'm a BIG procrastinator & even I have my room booked...thats when you know its time...
Honestly, though, it seems like this is the earliest the rooms for Carlisle are "running low" already -- its only February!

Don't panic yet :!: I just called and made my reservations - and as of 2:00pm Sunday Feb. 22nd they have 14 more rooms available - all the rooms left are smoking double bed rooms ( thats what I took, because there was no other option available). If you've been procrastinating (like me) now is the ti...

I'll be there! Carlisle # 6 for me & I wouldn't miss it!!
Convoying it with the i-76 crew, then meeting up with the i-70 crew for the rest of the trip as per usual. Now if I could just decide which Merkur to drive this year :)

Might be because we never know when to stop drinking or when to go to bed
On that note, the hotel at night is one of my favorite parts about Carlisle - all the Merkurs/people are in one place & no chance of sunburn at 1:00am in the parking lot!
