I need some rotors, please
For the front big brake kit? Plain? Cross drilled? Slotted? Coated? Send me a message direct at merkurdriver@gmail.com if you want to discuss further.

Should I have bled the clutch while I was there?
This would be tough as its not a hydraulic clutch. Just an "old school" manually operated cable.

Re: New to Merkurs - Where is this oil coming from?

( x 100 on both suggestions.) The correct plastic Motorcraft PCV should be the only PCV that ever goes on the car. With any luck that will fix the problem... to me the pictures look like oil is coming out of the dipstick tube when under boost. The gauge sending unit on the head would be the next pla...

Re: NEW Merkur part of the week

Are you the only person that is currently making this? And also is anyone making the big front brake caliper adapter bracket or T-Bird MC bracket these days? Blugg has some T5 crossmembers and brackets, too. (Just not powdercoated blue) We have big front brake stuff, rear disc brake stuff, and work...

Wow, that markup is intense.
I don't have any T5 crossmembers on hand right now, so while I wait for more to be made, I "adjust" the price so no one buys any. Once they are physically back in stock, the price will go back down to normal.

There are possibly 2 sets of parts for doing the 4x4 cars.
I sold them 4x4 Scorpio parts about 4 years ago. So that stuff would contain the V6 oil pan version for a T9 trans 4x4 set up. Not sure what other 4x4 stuff he may or may not have.

Re: Show me your Belt Routing with a Passenger Side Alternator

http://forum.merkurclub.com/forum/download/file.php?id=823 Has anyone seen this done with the stock throttlebody still in use? Here's another shot of what "Sixfoot7" Hugh Lacy did to Have It All with an '89-- no relocations necessary. He did it by extending the alternator adjusting slot downwards, ...

Another idea if you get desperate: you can always stick 1985-1987 master and booster in there to have brakes for right now

This one was in CT and the car and parts have all been sold. I think he just copy/paste his text from his craigslist ad and forgot to put the contact info on here.

Re: WTB 88-89 brake master cylinder

We have an adapter in the works for the late 87.5-89 brake booster...but it will be to adapt an upgraded, less expensive, more readily available master cylinder to bolt to it - not to "downgrade" to the early master. If you need to get back on the road right away, this place shows they have 1 in sto...

Re: Best Front Brake Setup for 14-inch Wheels?

www.merkurdepot.com big front brake kit will clear (most) 15" wheels, but not 14".
Stock XR4Ti front brakes might be your best bet and indeed and upgrade for such a small car.
