I don't consider my self conservative (at least not in the manner it is currently defined). My political views basicly center around free-markets and self-determination, beyond, I tend to avoid establishing a poltical position. I believe the crux of a "good" capitalistic system comes down ...

While failed is stronger word than I'd use, I do have some agreement with that statement...I think we a too scared to try "real" capitalism caused someone might get hurt in the process....

] it makes fiscal sense when the volatility of a commodity allowed for so much profit not 6 months ago that you can now sit on production and wait for demand to go up instead of selling it at the "fair" market price available to you at present. Taking short term gains at the expense of th...

I believe you are incorrect in the assertion that companies are holding oil waiting for the price to go up. There is no legit method of financial reasoning that would dictate that holding a commodity that already has an extremely inexpensive method of storage (in the ground) while awaiting a return ...

I am sure those are authorized by Brembo, since they freely use the Brembo logo.

And I am sure the ABS plastic will have no problem standing up to some spirited driving on a twisted back-country road...

You picked up my post just as I was finishing an edit, it would need to be from a v6 car (both the LS and the Jag). I believe that had the same 3.0 engine as the LS. The 3.0 duratec and the SHO V8 share the same bell pattern.

That said, I wasn't sure about what was available where....

Getting back to the original question (one that got my head working BTW). There is a RWD transmission that shares the bolt pattern with the SHO V8 - the Getrag 5spd from the Lincoln LS V6, which unfortunately is very hard to find (one might also be able to find one from a Jag S-type V6). Of course t...

The SHO V8 would be a cool swap, if not a challenging one. That said, listen to a SHO V8 with an aftermarket exhaust, and you'll be ready to drop that engine in tomorrow... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/taurus-sho-v8-with-a-bad_141789.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvvCV-xQh5s&feature=r...

Huh, John I'm confused by your question? GDP isn't "owned" or managed by anyone. It's simply a measure of the economic activity within a certain political boundry. Without an organization like the IRS, there would be no mechanism for which the the US could "simply allocate" the m...

I like Rat's idea. Added bonus: with the recent rash of zombie sightings you'll be prepared to plow through throngs of rotting human flesh should you need to make a fast get away from the masses of undead.

He was the last, by those criteria. The national debt hasn't done anything but go up since at least 1962, and I haven't seen government do anything but get larger under Republicans and Democrats alike. Now, I'll give Bill Clinton some credit for making an effort to rein in some spending (I have a f...

Re: engine surges at high rpm WOT. help!

I have a 89 XR4Ti 5 spd. and when im getting on it around 4k the motor surges, i can hear the turbo spooling but it feels like i let off the gas. sometimes it gets better but most of the time i just let off. Check the hose between the VAM and the turbo, I'd be willing to bet it's collapsing during ...

They probably are thinking that they can merge some FIats into their mix and bring up their CAFE rating. This would let them keep selling Jeeps, Aspens, and all the other stuff that gets terrible mileage. One of the problems with that strategy is the two fleet rule for CAFE ratings. Any imported pr...
