A bit off topic, but I need to rant... I'm not sure which engineer at Ford felt that having bolted mount points both on the end-tanks and on the radiator core was going to be a good idea. IMO you should never mount a radiator that way, puts too much stress on the weakest point of the assembly, the j...

I've also heard that round tooth tends to be more precise in its timing, since the teeth have to center on the valley of the drive gear.

I think the XR would make a pretty good drift car (with an LSD). The chassis seems to be very neutral and from what I've been told, very easy to control in a drift situation.

As far as removing the box its self, yes you will need to go through the engine bay. And yes you will need to remove the "false" firewall that surrounds the box. The biggest problem will be the pulling the box out overtop of the engine, I've even heard of people going to the trouble of rem...

Richard,

Did you have to change the studs to run the ten hole rims, or did the stock pieces work?

Also are you running a 205/60-15 or a 205/50-15 tire?

Well, I ran the car again last night and it ran much better, which is leading me to believe it just may be a fuel issue. At this point, I think changing out the fuel filter should take car of most of the problem, but we'll see. BTW I was under the car the other night, looking at the filter, is it ju...

Thanks for the ECT chart and thanks for the offer, I have the US Scorpio shop manual, and it has a pretty good diagnosis section.

Ok to answer questions: Chuck - No I haven't run codes just yet, I need to grab a code reader from the neighbor, but I do not get a check engine light (I think the Scorp has one?). I need to take a look at the injectors, but I believe they're all firing since it's idling pretty smooth. Hoschy - Befo...

Just brought a Scorp back to life, need help with the engine

Hey all, I just got one of the two Scorpios I bought up and running, after replacing the master cylinder assembly, the blower motor and the A/C compressor. This is all on a car that hasn't been on the road in a couple years. Here's the problem, I'm trying to get her up and running, and after a tune-...

On plug gap, I've actually found that just under .30 works best for me...

AutoZone carries Motorcraft AWS32C (I think that's the number).
