Re: Hi a new Sierra owner here

Nice car! I need one of those Sierra wagons more than humans need oxygen. I'd do some pretty terrrrrrrrible things for one Just import one. They are dirt cheap. There is one in Germany for like $1000 and another in Italy for $700. It's an easy process for sure. Oh I am going to. I need a wagon for ...

the grille gasket on the drivers side top corner is protruding outward... at least that's what it looks like in the picture.

headlight measurements

Does anyone have the measurements for stock headlights (inner and outer) and the cosworth headlights? My car is put up for the winter and I don't have cosworth lights available to me to measure them out myself. Basically I'm toying with trying out an aftermarket LED headlight solution but only if th...

Re: Springs

And that is the dilemma I face when I get into the "I'm just going with 17s" mindset. Finding wheels that are 8-9 inches wide, with our desired offset, in our bolt pattern, not a cheap pile of crap, that are attractive to me, that aren't heavy, and that aren't $2000 is killing me. But that's a topi...

Re: Springs

I've been fighting that "do I go with 17 or 16 inch wheels?" battle for the last 2 months for that same reason. I want more sidewall but there are like no choices for tires wider than 215-225 in the "extreme summer performance" category for 16 inch wheels. I know I am going to have to get a 17 inch...

Re: Springs

I am very happy with my 350/650 setup, but this is a BIG step up from stock. I'm sure the 215/45-17s aren't helping, but it's a rough ride on bad streets. Absolutely worth it when the roads smooth out, and 10-ish years later I still have the same springs, but it's nothing approximating a stock ride...

Re: Springs

I already have a set of mc2racing springs on all corners, the rear is fine, but the fronts just arent quite where i want them to be. Are there any other options for front springs, or will i have to go with the coil over setup? Id really rather stick with the stock coil setup if possible. I'm curiou...

Re: Springs

Ok...Can you chime in and let us know what you have on the rear? Although, I am also in Michigan, so the roads are crap...That may be too stiff? I'm just doing a streetable car, daily driven. I picked up a set of Koni yellow that will be installed with springs, once I find a set of something that w...

Re: Suspension help - or, a good shop in West Texas

how are the tires? if they're worn unevenly it could cause some "feel" issues with tracking and whatnot. Are the feelings of instability consistent or easily reproducible? If so, I'd look at the tires. That is assuming your bushings, dampers, tie-rods, ball joints, springs, swaybars, wheel bearings,...

Re: Gnari fmic

that owner must have a lot of sentimental value with his Rapido setup. The cost of that kit is more than I've paid for any of the 8 XR's I've owned. I can't justify his costs... Nothing with hot rodding is a bolt on, I think thats a marketing angle to make it sound like even a caveman can do it. Pe...
