You get a full 15 in a 5 speed with the bypass.... the EEC will close the solenoid to restrict the boost to 10. So in general its open.

thinking we hear something from the dash area and maybe heat/smell after boosting. Might be the guage after all.

Lost 15 lb boost - solenoid is bypassed

Replaced the waste gate last spring, got it from Russ, bypassed the boost solenoid. Been getting 15 since then. Over the weekend without any other symptoms I get 10 only, then if held WOT drops to 8 ish. Pressure spools up fast, so I don't think its the turbo. Checked the Induction side no air leaks...

Well I said I would post when I figured it out... but I can't. Right after the diagram arrived, the problem stopped. After 4 days of waiting for it to start again I have put the diagram in the back as a talisman to ward off the evil spirit. Now to figure out why it is hard to start. Not related to t...

Ok it isn't the turn signal switch. I replaced with one that has a good emergency flasher. No difference, except that that having a working flasher is good. We had removed the Headlight switch and there was still backfeed. So I guess the wiring diagram and I will be well aquainted before I figure th...

While waiting for the wiring diagram and messing with the seats that I thought would bolt right in. We pulled the HL switch. With the ignition switch on it still brings up the parking lights halfway. I was thinking about the Hazard light when we got the car. I had to fiddle with it to get the turn s...

Having a similar issue, thinking along those lines.

Add to mine loose bolts on the turbo to exhaust which may have been letting air in further screwing up the mixture.

No codes on mine...

Ok will do that too.. also checking to see if there are any big voltage changes when the fan cuts on, thinking of temp wiring my volt-ohm meter so I can see it while I drive. LOL prob get in a wreck then it won't matter.

Maybe I'm getting a spike off the regulator that messes up the ECU?
