Yeah, take a bow Phil - I have had great service from OPMD. I used to deal with Draken in BC but they screwed me so I will not buy anything from them again - even if it's cheaper (which it won't be).

Hey ex miniman, hows this for an idea. Sell the XR you were given, add what you get to your $7.5k and buy a well soreted but scruffy XR & then put your spare time cleaning it up & sorting it out. Just a thought because you know you will probably never be able to get a return on your investme...

I'm told that R/H alternator bracket from '93 or '94 2.3 Ranger will mount where our A/C compressor used to be. Trying to find one is is like trying to find rocking horse s&%t though 'cos I'm looking for one!

My understanding is that a well designed plenum offers less restriction to the airflow and is a better fit under the hood than a rotated upper intake. I'll be interested in other responses though because I need to decide which way to go myself.

Anyone any thoughts on the muffler versus no muffler? My exhaust is a mix of rust, bandage, goop, hose clamps, patches & prayer (sounds great though) and will be replaced this winter.

OIL = BLUE SMOKE COOLANT = WHITE SMOKE Hmmm, I agree that this makes sense but my experience is different. Having plugged the turbo oil return line to stop it dribbling when the turbo was off I forgot to remove the plug when I put the turbo back on. End result was the thickest, densest, bigg...
