OK, I just signed up for Sept 20th at Mid-Ohio.

Well, I just filled out the forms and sent in the pics they wanted.

If selected, hopefully no one give me crap for driving my Chevy truck back and forth from the hotel!

So I’m thinking of applying my car for this but it’s in the building for the whole weekend correct? I wouldn’t be able to take back and forth to the hotel?

Also you have to be there early and can’t leave till the show is over?

OK, I have my appraisal in front of me so the 3 comps to compare to my car.

'89 Scorpio custom Sold 11/12/17 $24,6000

'89 XR4Ti 22 miles from new Sold 1/18/17 $18,500

'86 XR4Ti Custom 3/18/18 $19,500

Shoot, KBB classic listed a clean ‘87 at over $7500 when I first got mine on the road a few years ago. Kinda weird that an ‘87 was worth the most too for some reason.

My appraiser found more than one example of a Merkur XR4Ti selling for more than $15K.

You might want to get your car appraised. I had mine insured for $10k and then had it appraised, came back at over $20k.

Hagerty got a call right after that to up my coverage and they got a copy of the appraisal.

Dang, $14k for a new one back in the day when they stickered for the low 20's

Well, the correct answer is yes, everytime you make a change to the front suspension, you must align it.

However, I probably won't unless there is an issue.

Damn car has already had 2 alignments this year.

I’m sure you could go a little bit thicker but it was enough to allow the strut to slide in without too much issue and still tighten up.

Installed but need a Cobra brake caliper before I can do a test drive.

I did use a thin piece of .023" shim stock to make up the difference in diameter.
