Re: fuel injection troubles

Here's how the fuel system on an EFI car is configured: The fuel pressure regulator (FPR) is on the outlet of the fuel rail. The fuel pump pushes fuel into one side of the fuel rail and the FPR restricts the outlet of the rail in order to build pressure. The vacuum reference port on the FPR ensures ...

Re: Looking for 4.6 32V Mod motor into XR4ti info.

-T45. Any issues getting that to fit? Only at the bellhousing. A few ears to cut off. The swaybar needs to go down about an inch and stiffening ribs on the underside of the bell still need grinding. And as colin mentioned above, i have 1" spacers installed between the crossmember and body. Thi...

Re: fuel injection troubles

If you have fuel pressure in the rail and the engine isn't receiving fuel, it's because your injectors are not opening. I'm not a Scorpio expert by any means, but that would indicate to me your ECU is not receiving an RPM signal while cranking.

The bumper is likely designed to overlap the grille and fenders slightly, like the OEM piece:

Dimitri has spacers installed between the front subframe and the body. Jim DeBerry can probably give you details - PM him.

Re: obd-2?

I doubt you'll find any book-published information about turbocharging a 1995+ four-cylinder Ranger on the stock engine management. Most of the information available on the topic is chronicled in various threads scattered all over the turboford.net forums - you'll have to dig deep for it, and 90% of...

Re: obd-2?

The trucks in question are geared for city driving. Mine would go 70+ MPH, but it was absolutely screaming in the high RPMs at that speed. It didn't have a tach and the engine was mounted at the rear, so I tried to ignore it and keep on truckin'. :cheers

Re: obd-2?

I will switch them over to my other car most likely. (Focus for same wheels, and american (sort of?), OR suzuki carry because japanese mini-truck will hopefully keep me out of speeding tickets and also 60 mpg plus room for tires/parts) Good luck with that. My Subaru Sambar routinely got 28-32 MPG i...

Re: 8.8 irs swap brackets

Tim Roman is the other big name in 8.8 IRS swaps - here are some photos I took of my beam, which I modified using Tim's jig: The first step was bolting the driveshaft yoke to the stock diff's pinion flange while the diff was still installed in the beam. This part of the jig is then welded to the bea...

Re: I caught a thief last week

Nice work. Last year, a buddy of mine had a bunch of stereo equipment stolen out of one of the party buses I helped him build... I've got no love for thieves. You're a better man than I for calling the cops; I'd use bolt cutters to make sure he could never steal again.

Howdy. Are you the guy who bought the Scorpio T9 tranny from Chad Debaker about two years ago?
