the factory temp gauge is wild and not to be trusted anyway.
install an aftermarket temp gauge and put your mind at ease.

Re: A Merkur XR4Ti or Mustang SVO, which is better Project?
Just as a minor correction, SVO's did NOT come stock with the 8.8 rear, they have the 7.5. Many have been swapped and it's fairly simple to do, but it's not a stock SVO part. oh crap! thats true, it came with a crappy 7.5 traction loc or something like that. All the GT's till 86 or something had it...

Re: A Merkur XR4Ti or Mustang SVO, which is better Project?
I own a foxbody and an XR4Ti, I feel qualified to answer this for you. considering the SVO already has an 8.8 and LSD, with a hurst short shifter, and koni shocks, 5 bolt swap, out of the box the SVO is a better car. It all started in 2012 when I bought the car from a gentlemen in Buffalo NY, the car was plated in Ohio. The guy told me he got a couple offers on the car for p...

Re: Tired of low ride, changing to stockish ride. Advice ple
theres no retrofit really, just take off the old springs and put the stockers back on.
otherwise get a set of coilovers and adjust the height any time you like.

Mine goes around the tower completely. ya the 3/4 shock tower thing I dont get, it doesnt fit well on the tower. I think the o...
