Re: Battery group size

There you go, The one on the right. 6/21. I guess it lasted just a little over two years. Typical. Seems you don't know that there are One Year and Two Year warranty Everstart batteries stocked on the Walmart racks along with high end flooded and AGM units YMMV Ed, the point that matters is that th...

It's a big project but it should be interesting.

Re: Battery group size

The goal post has not moved. AGM's outperform wet cells in all parameters. Most importantly...longevity and reliability. I don't have to re-iterate this. It is a known fact and is well documented online...by the manufacture's themselves (as I have provided the in the links I posted previously...whic...

Re: Battery group size

I'd like to see him test an 8 year old AGM vs. an 8 year old wet cell.

Re: Making the Cologne 2.9 Distributor-less using 4L OHV parts

Does that mean if I go to the Pick-a-Part Home of Junkyard Barbie that I won't find any Cologne v-6 stuff because Brad took everything already? No, never been to that one. But if you got to EZ Pull you will not find an EDIS6 module. Uh-Oh - Played my hand. Got to get to "Pick-a-Part Home of Ju...

Re: Making the Cologne 2.9 Distributor-less using 4L OHV parts

Brad - You must have a nice junkyard nearby where you can gather an explore all the possibilities. I have to drive 40 minutes to get to one. I haven't been there in a while and I'm not sure how nice it is now. I used to have one that was close by and they had "all you can haul away" Saturd...

Re: Battery group size

I think a good battery load tester tells the best state of the battery. The handheld testers that ask for the CCA rating of the battery and then tell you the internal resistance of the battery I think provide a reasonable measure of the battery's condition, certainly better than a DMM However, I hav...

Re: bellhousing pattern/rear engine

Here's a nice SHO to T5 solution. Not too bad at $420 Probably use the Vulcan Ranger clutch, who knows what clutch plate. You will probably have to play the "machine t5 input shaft" game. I am sure the vendor of the plate will tell you what you need to do. https://www.ebay.com/itm/23447865...

Re: bellhousing pattern/rear engine

Here is a picture of an SHO bolted to the M5 trans (2wd). BTW, Brad, I saw on one of the F150 forums that some of the F150s that came with the heavy duty M5OD-R2 trans (which does not bolt to the SHO) did come with a shifter extension that moved the shifter back a few inches. This apparently can fit...

I don't know, but Chuck obviously had access to a waterjet and a serious metal break, not to mention being a decent welder.

Re: bellhousing pattern/rear engine

I didn't realize it but some Rangers came with Vulcan motors, and hence a more obtainable 5 speed manual option is possible for the SHO with the M5 Mazda trans. https://www.ebay.com/itm/145373806289 But I have no idea where the shifter would protrude on a Scorpio (or Sierra) tunnel. More than likely...
