Re: 3-Door RS Cosworth hub bolt pattern?

The caliper is different all together than the turbocoupe caliper. The Cobra and GT/V6 used the same caliper, but had a different caliper mount and axle bracket. In order to account for the rotor thickness, the cobra used a thinner pad vs the GT/V6. I used a GT rear caliper and caliper mount on my 9...

Re: 3-Door RS Cosworth hub bolt pattern?

On the other hand, the Vargas caliper seemed to work fine with heavier Mustang Cobras. Then again, they deal with a smaller diameter rotor than the TC, which requires larger rotors for its greater overall weight, right? 1993 Mustang Cobras use the same rotor and caliper as the turbocoupe. 1994-2004...

Re: Photobucket 3rd party???

I've been using tinypic for years. I'm kinda surprised I'm not having the same issues since it is a Photobucket Inc site.

Re: 1310 flange yoke for XR4Ti diff

Does the flange for the supra diff end up in the stock location? I've got the diff and installation stuff, just haven't gotten around to putting it in. Maybe now is the time.

Re: 1310 flange yoke for XR4Ti diff

I can say that, at least for my application, the turbocoupe driveshaft is just a hair too long. I could have it shortened, but by that time I will have nearly pair for the cost of the driveshaft adapter. More so if I go with the 1310 flange listed above instead of my current adapter and Dana 44 flan...

Re: 1310 flange yoke for XR4Ti diff

The problem would still be finding a u-joint for the shaft side. We both had first hand experience with shops not wanting to install the staked-in replacements from Merkur Depot. This isn't for a stock driveshaft, although it could be used to have a custom 2 piece made with 1310 U-joints as they al...

1310 flange yoke for XR4Ti diff

Powertrain Industries makes the following flange yoke to fit XR4Ti diff flange. https://www.powertrainindustries.com/story/3102-1409?catalog_table=flange_yokes They currently have 3 in stock in the warehouse. Unfortunately, the cost is a bit absurd for a flange yoke at $154.18. Typically a flange yo...

Re: 17x8 wheel suggestions

https://18racing.myshopify.com/search?page=1&q=1780++4x108 You'll have to run a 5mm-10mm spacer for the 40mm offset, but it's pretty much the best option I have found for 4x108 17x8 wheels. I've been thinking about the Reece. The other option is the ESM DTM style wheel. I believe they have a 17x...

fog light rewire

I want to retire my fog lights (and cossie driving lights as the switches are parallel), so that the fog lights will come on with low AND high beams. I figured that if I wired them up so the circuit is energized with the parking lights on, that would give me exactly what I want, plus the ability to ...

Re: Racing Sway Bar

The group A bars were based on wall size than OD. They were adjustable blade style sway bars. Asphalt they were run full stiff and softened to maintain balance, gravel typically on full soft and stiffened for balance. The only info I couldn find was the OD of the bars, but the how to build a sierra ...

Re: Anyone use Surtrack/Trakmotive CV axles?

Inject grease through the boot towards the Cardan joint; rotate the axle injecting it into 5/6 locations. http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h28/PC_800/Scorpio/20161108_101221_zps38pclffa.jpg This procedure works. YMMV I was going to do just that in the meantime. I've got a 1300 mile road trip comin...

Anyone use Surtrack/Trakmotive CV axles?

Looking for some CV axles for the XR4Ti as I am experiencing a lot of clicking and other noises from the rear. I moved them around and the noise stopped, so I'm pretty confident it's the CVs. No grease anywhere, but in moving them they seems kinda dry. Any other suggestions for CV axles sources? Mer...
