You can't steal what there isn't. Of the 42,000 or so sold, lets say maybe half are still on the road. That is probably wildly overstated, but still, 21,000 XR4Tis. vs. 324,000 just for 2000. There are more hybrids Civics than Merkurs.

Cars in general are bigger. My son's 2002 Focus is 10 inches shorter than the XR4Ti. Wheelbase is the same, width is about an inch smaller. It is about an inch and 1/2 taller. It weighs about 400 lbs less and has 47 less hp.
