Blah blah blah blah.... The perfect is the enemy of the good. [Thanks, Voltaire] Plus, it costs more. Isn't it wonderful to live, still--but with authoritarian zealot wolves looking to impose a one-world paradigm on the rambunctious market place of dialogue, who knows for how long--in a free world o...

the decision was not made for me. i took what i've seen, and made my own decision. i do NOT think homosexuality is wrong because someone told me to think that--not remotely. and yes, i mean my truth. but as i explained earlier, to me it is THE truth, and because that's how i see it, that is how i h...

a little tip for getting those bolts out: if you can still run the car without really hurting anything (E.g., if you can drive it, but it smokes) then get the turbo up to temp and touch a candle to the bolts. the wax penetrates into the threads. do this a few times. i did it on the mallow, and didn...

As Ed said, and as Ed says, rebuilding a turbo isn't technically difficult. Rebuilding kits run close to $100, unfortunately, and contain relatively few a hard parts (bushings; oil seal) and the various gaskets. There's a lot of profit for the manufacturer and retailers in them, but there isn't an a...

What was the purpose (and supporting data) of the pan under the engine on the ’89 Scorpio? The Scorpio 2.9 engine intake manifold appears to be a design based on tuning for optimum torque. Is this correct? Why weren’t the 88 and 89 XRs equipped with EGR pressure feedback sensors as were the Scor...

..."Somebody's got some splainin' to do" as to why consenting adults cannot enter into this kind of arrangement, when so much of history (including religious history), and of course, human biology are in support of it. What a crock. Everything, everything, in human biology points to the o...

Solve the problem once and for all by getting a noise filter from Radio Shack (maybe two, the other to install in the hot wire to the amp).

The small green tube is the vacuum supply to the EGR solenoid; the other end of the green tube connects at the firewall to a typical size rubber vacuum hose; and that hose receives vacuum from the nipple at the uper intake. The overboost switch is almost if not exactly next to the EGR vacuum solenoi...

Consider the split, or dual, rear window our equivalent of a Town Car opera window, a step above the hoi polloi Cossie single pane.

I prefer it, too.

Over? Not quite. I'm totally pissed at the gay group(s) for pressuring Ford on its decision to reduce its advertising in gay publications. I resent Ford's buckling to that pressure. But Ford had every right to decide not to run ads in any publications or media. That doesn't equate with alleging that...

That's pretty much like beating a dead horse. The latest study, in addition to previous ones, involving large amounts of data over time, conducted in accord with globally accepted scientific principles and by well-trained scientists/researchers, subjected to peer review (all of this = the gold stand...

Could be for the oil pressure sending unit. It's mounted at the rear of the where the head/block meet on the driver's side. It's not easy to see unless you look carefulyl for it. The length of wire you describe is just right to connect there.

I'd also ask at one or two good machine shops--they might have catalogs showing such items or possibly could make them up for you easily and cheaply.

I posted too fast, I have more questions. I did not see that the Odyssey comes with marine-style terminals. In order to put one in the stock location using stock cables, would you need this: http://www.batterymart.com/battery.mv?p=ODY-3217-0006 Check the Dyna Batt link I posted; they have three ver...

I saw an XR with a Dyna Batt installed in the normal battery area; these things are amazingly tiny... The Dyna Batt occupied less than 1/3rd of the space of a typical battery. See here for info: http://www.performancedistributors.com/batteries.htm The Odyssey PC680 I installed is exactly the same b...
