Oh bloody hell - I'll give a prize to anyone who can measure the difference in the polar inertia on a Merkur due to the location of the I/C. IMHO were picking fly crap out of pepper on this one - but it's a fun discussion so lets keep it going eh

WTF is all this talk about Polar Inertia - is this just a fancy way of saying air doesnt like to go round corners so the straighter the air path from turbo to engine the better?

Well, if we can't get the car to Carlisle maybe we could get Carlisle to the car by making it a stop off opint for the BIG convoy?? Anyone know how far off route this would be and how many of us are interested in making it a major meeting point on the way to Carlisle??

I think you just need a new starter motor. When the starter motor first starts to turn it pushes a small gear along it's shaft so that the teeth on this little gear engage the teeth on the flywheel and turn the engine. Once the engine starts and you stop the starter motor the little gear disengages ...
