Thanks for the admiration...now updates on the Merk hunt...first the cheap stuff. Picked up this '85 from Don Battle in Hubbard Tx. For $100, worth its weight in parts, but was a candidate for the transplant. Will have enough left over parts from the other car(RED '87 in Pa) to get this one back on ...

Asked my friend with body shop if my front bumper could be repaired, said if I have all the pieces. Most are there, couldn't account for a quarter size piece above the right fog, but in area that's hard to see. I removed the metal back bone to relieve the bent form, allowing the bumper to be relaxed...

Chose to try and remove the arches, the RR was already loose due to impact. Took a plumbers knive to the top edge and hammered away. Thanks for the support, I wasn't ready to give up on having the best power/handling/looking XR4Ti I could build. So couple wk-ends back I removed door, cut it open and savaged all the internals, removed the pass Recaro, inspected for damage, just the sliders mounts bent. Cut the door sill to relieve...
