Back into the world of Merkurs

Post by ckanani »

Hello fellow Merkur enthusiasts,
After 17 years of being without a Merkur, I finally purchased another XR! It is an 88 Rosso Red two-tone with Dark Argent Gray lower cladding. It has an automatic transmission and a Raven leather interior I will try to post pictures of the car in the near future. In the meantime, there is a brief walk-around video of the car on YouTube that the owner posted about a month before I purchased it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qggChHnDjS4. Let me know what you think! Thanks and take care, everyone!

Looks like a clean late 88. I wonder why someone made the bottom half grey like that. What is the build date?
I don't care what anyone else says The A-Team was the best show on TV. Better even than the scrambled channel which was also pretty ok.

Nice car!
Interesting someone painted the smooth style late bumpers/cladding grey to look more like the early cars with the textured grey bumpers.
