Cool, nice to know. If I ever get a girlfriend, or wife.... I can use that to defend myself........ LOL

Didn't I see some complete replacement Steel fuel lines listed somewhere?

First on my list, because the send line from the filter/pump under the right rear is pissing like crazy....... and the guy I bought it from, clamped some rubber hose onto the steel (RUSTED) line so it would run long enough to move it around.

it was a rustproof hole, but it has obviously gotten bigger. I am gonna grind it and find someone to weld a piece in, if possible......

I swear I saw in the forums, somebody has a complete set of steel fuel lines for an XR......

I need to replace mine ASAP!!!!

I can't find them anymore. If I can't find them, I may fabricate a double layer Nylon line to run from the HP fuel pump to the fuel rail....

Can somebody please help, and point me in a direction to get this car on the road.... Please., please.

I no longer work in a garage, and it has been almost 7 years......

PRETTY PLEASE.....

The project continues. Got the brake parts I needed... thanks fellas!

Now, I find a broken front coil in the left strut... pinch welds are bad, rockers are solid, but the one hole.

Exhaust still needs hanging, and the AC need to be taken out. But as I go on, this is appearing to be more than I can afford to repair.... not ready to throw the towel in yet....... unless the right person happens upon this...

Runs like a top, with the new battery. Got 4 new sneakers to put on.... but now its struts and shocks, all 4... and the rockers...

Anyone want to point a new guy in the right direction to find how to fix the rocker/pinch weld cancer issue.

I have spent the last 3 hours in the forums and can't find a thing..... spread all over the place, must be.

I saw that Jeff (blugg) was the one with the fuel lines, but he sold them. Still need to fix that issue before we roll down the road for sure.

I appreciate your patience in helping me. as I am very new here.... and DON'T know what you know.

Really, all kidding aside, I need help bad.

This was to be my car, my daily driver.... but I am running out of time and money......... HELP, please.

I think that I still have a set of used front coil springs listed for $10. I may have tossed them, though.

well, been quite a long time since I got to stop in....

The ole' Merkur went to a couple of fellas in New Hampshire... they are using it for a race car.... I miss her. :(

I did, however, get a great deal on a 96 Probe SE. 8)

Now, I am curious to see if any of you can help me find some parts for her?

I know that FWD is a cuss word, but it was all I could afford, as the Merkur's don't last long in our climate.

When I find one, I will have it, though. :headbang

The Probe is the 2.0, automatic (yuck)... :?

rear calipers, is about all she NEEDS. A new rear spoiler would help her quite a bit..... That, and my 17 year old saw fit to NOT look when backing out of the garage... he ripped the front fascia half off.... Got one?

If any of you have links, parts, etc. I would greatly appreciate some direction.

Thanks, again.

Jeff in Vermont.

Better not tell your heart that you have a Mazda parked in the garage then!

There's ZERO in common between the Merkur and the Mazda MX-6/Probe other than the Probe name, which was the initial name applied to the Sierra prototype.

I know, well aware of the fact that it is Mazda based. But also too, am aware the the Probe was originally designed to replace the RS and the Mustang. But since we Yanks (not all of us) seem to like big block V8's and rear wheel drive, the Probe was scrapped as the replacement for the Mustang. And, that the Escort replaced the RS as the dominant racer in Europe, to display the Ford oval.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Probe

The styling differences are enough for me, to keep it separated from the Mazda. It was but ugly.

I was hoping that some of you, that were familiar with the lineage of the cars, and the history mentioned above, that maybe I could find some help.

Thanks, then, for taking the time to at least read, and reply.

You do know that Ford owns mazda, right? That way, I can have had a Miata and still not "cheated."
