UK MERKUR XR4ti

Post by BAHAMACHARGER » Thu Aug 19, 2010 7:29 am

At Last it is on the road again  I have had a real fight trying to get her back on the road as we only have three or four car's over here and Mine is the only one on the road  There has been NO help over here at all. The Mustang Club wont Talk to me  So many thanks to you guy's for all your help to get her back on the road again. My wife and kid's came out with me to our Very FIRST car show last weekend and the FORD SIERRA guy's went Mad over her  They seemed to LOVE that it wasn't a COSWORTH as Cosworth's are in every show over here and most FORD guy's didn't know what the hell she was  But others did and Loved to see her out and about in the UK  Thank you all again PAUL W Wales UK.

Hi Brad, They are Sierra Cosworth RS500 Front and rear Seat with XR4ti door Cards. It also has Three Door Sierra Cosworth Rear shelf surports Cut down to fit the XR rear side windows and so that the rear seats would use the Three Door Sierra seat locking brackets, As they are not the same as the XR4ti (XR4i)

I got them off a guy who did not want them any more as he fitted the normal RS Cosworth cloth seats in to his RS500  dont figger :? The only thing that I don't like is my Carpet is early light grey and the rest of the trim is later dark grey :( But Thanks Brad for the kind words. It is soooooo nice to drive with good seats 8)

How ironic. Guys over here pay crazy money for Cossie stuff and I guess over there the stuff we might throw away (side skirts) gets a look from the cosworth guys. I doubt you'd want the front bumper though...

I've always dug the escort wheels. Cheapest alternative I use is the Contour SVT E0's. 8)

X2 on the seats and WOW what a headliner!

Thank you Liam  I went for Real suede and not the modern man made Alcantara, As it was three time the price of the real deal  :? I am glad you like it and the Smell is sooooooooooo cool with the leather too, my Great Pal Gaf loves just to open the door when the car has been in the garage for a week or two all shut up
Thank you for your comments Paul W UK

Hi, I noticed your airbox opens to the interior of the engine bay. Over here our airboxes draw from the inside of the front right wing. Does your car have an opening there? Nice work on your car.

That is the Rapido dual inlet airbox. It used to have a hose that went towards the front to get cooler air.
