1989 Merkur XR4TI (Rare Rose Gold Color??)

Post by vinyl33 »

I'm starting to fix up my parents old 1989 Merkur XR4TI. It's been setting outside in the sun for about 5-6 years. Very sad.
It was originally bought new in Las Vegas,NV. The dealership said that they had only imported 5 new Merkurs (1989) to Las Vegas. The color on the one they ended up buying was called "Rose Gold". I was wondering if this was a special color that they did or what?? I'd like to restore it to it's same color (since it's very faded). Anyone else have a Merkur that was this color?

Thanks

Either that or in response to Mike's question above, the reply will be....

I can't tell - it looks like it's been painted over.
