Hello from the PNW!

Post by helios » Tue Feb 09, 2016 6:36 pm

Figured I'd drop in and say hello, as I'll be lurking around here more and more. I picked up an '87 non-sunroof this past fall, judging by the description from the PO is in need of a head gasket. I've been keeping half an eye open to see if a non-sunroof car popped up locally for a few years now, having been mesmerized by them since the late '80s.

I picked the car up primarily to play with as an autocross car. I hope to get to it soon. Just have a couple other projects to get out of the way first. Going to have to decide what I'm going to do about the interior, as it's badly sun damaged. At a minimum I'll need to find a better condition dash. Not expecting to find a perfect one...but one w/o Grand Canyon's in it would be a nice improvement.

After a quick scrub, and the tires from the Escort rolled up next to it (now mounted).

See ya around. Cheers!
