Vote for the default forum theme

Post by MarkM »

We set a new default theme with the forum software upgrade. The new theme is called Black and while it looks very attractive in my opinion, it's been said that it's harder to read than prosilver, the theme that comes with phpBB. We have both themes installed, so users can select the one that they prefer, but if more people prefer the prosilver, I'll change the default theme to that and just leave Black as an option. I've taken a screenshot of prosilver to compare with the Black. Black uses the entire screen, while prosilver has a fixed width.

Please vote for your choice as the default forum theme.

How do you swap the screen back to prosilver at this time?

Click on the down arrowhead to the right of your username in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Select User Control Panel
In the User Control Panel, click on the Board Preferences tab
Under Edit global settings, change My Board Style: to prosilver

Couldn't stand the dark theme, went and immediately went and changed it to 'prosilver.' Unreadable otherwise.

There weren't that many total votes, but the trend was pretty clear, running 10:1 in favor of prosilver. I've set it as the default and *temporarily* disabled the Black style. I'll make it available again tomorrow for those people that prefer it, but this should help switch over the regulars automatically.

I prefer full screen usage, but definitely no that black theme. Is there any way to get the pro silver to use the full screen?
