Nice pics, and that's a nice car you got there. I dig the body color.

Thanks!
Hopefully I don't get rained out tonight and tomorrow.
I go to a lot of events, so it's bound to happen a few times.

End of the road for this year. It was a little chilly.

Funny how everything is just starting here... you could say it's our Spring. It's almost as if we were in the Southern Hemisphere.

Yeah, it's hot like magma during the summer where you are.
With the humidity we have around here, I sometimes pass when it's over 90.

I'm thinking about retiring to the Sierra Vista area... the weather there isn't nearly as hot.

Thanks, Bob!
Between that and all of the literature and the sign a lot more people know what a Merkur is now.
I ran into a 20 something year old guy at that cruise in that knew what a Ford Sierra was. He'd never seen an XR in person.

That's the age of the typical guy who likes them.
Judging from the feedback I get from the young people at these events, the future is pretty bright for the XRs that are left.

I'm getting a new Super Duty flagpole this offseason.
It was pretty breezy. With two flags flying, I had to lower the light duty tailgating flagfole I've been using for the last year and a half.
It can get to whipping pretty good. The tubing wall thickness on the pole I'm getting is 2X the one I have now.

I use a 16' pole so that the flags are in the shot when the club photographer takes pictures.
No one makes a wheel stand that I consider to be strong enough for a pole like this so I had one custom made.

That's the dealership flag.

The Merkur flag is "Stranded: Send Help."

YMMV

What do you use to secure the base of the flag pole? I'm thinking a spare tire wouldn't be heavy nor wide enough.
