Hey...
Holding up Megapole in a stiff breeze is hard work!
This short season's about over... weather is gonna go cold next week and isn't much if anything after that.

We're gonna try to keep it going until the end of the month.

Tis very luxuriant. It was REALLY expensive when it was new... $28K+ MSRP, which is almost $60K in 2020 bucks.
Expect a bunch of pics when it gets here. Then it goes straight to storage until April.

I really like the Champagne color.
I had 2 Scorpios as daily drivers. The few "upgrades" I did were:
1] replaced the rusted out muffler with pipe. Having just the resonator allowed just enough sound to appreciate the v6;
2] replaced the sunroof switch with a illuminated door window switch, to find it easier at night;
3] added a bracket to secure the overhead console;
4] AC converted to Enviro-Safe;
5] replaced head & amp with a Becker AM/FM/WB/Cassette from my Benz and 4 Gold Rival speakers;
6] SunPro Amp/Volt/Temp mini gauge set fits perfectly in stereo amp's slot.
While the XR is a zoomer, the Scorpio is a cruiser. Enjoy

Like the XR, I can't mod this one, Bob.
I did change the XR's wheels, but I have the '89 wheels in boxes in my basement... perfect locks and keys, too.
I've been told the A/C is ice cold!
I will appreciate the 4-speed auto, that's for sure!!
Highway trip or in town may dictate which car goes to the show.

Only a purist, when you have the lights on at night, will realize you changed the overhead console switch. And if the eyelets break that hold the console onto the headliner, you can find the fix in the Scorpio forum.
My daughter drove the Scorpio using EnviroSafe for 5 years and never complained about the AC cold nor heat in the winter.

Enjoy the cruiser.
I'm the purest of the purists!
Seller says the A/C is tip top. The A/C in my XR is barking so I'll be getting that fixed ASAP once it gets out of jail.
I'm really going to enjoy this. And there'll be a lot more pictures!!

After a significant and probably COVID related delay, I received the title yesterday.

It's official... I am the proud owner of a 1989 Merkel.
PA isn't the only messed up state. IL has no record of the VIN in their database.
So, everything must be weird, even the paperwork.
I received an invitation to a car show on May 1, so it's getting closer...
