Website issues...

Post by brokencase »

Don't think it is on my end...

I see the following error messages at the top of the web page when I go to the forum main web page...

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/session.php on line 583: sizeof(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/session.php on line 639: sizeof(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable

I'm no expert in these matters, but I suspect something was upgraded and something else is not compatible :)

Also the Archives main page at http://www.merkurclub.net/archives/index.cfm has re-appeared but searching is not possible.

No angst here, hopefully providing useful feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. I think Mark fixed the one issue with the PhP warning appearing at the top. I'm not getting it any more. You?

Unfortunately, fixing the searchable archives will be a longer term issue to resolve. Long story made short, it used some back-end technology we no longer have access to.

Yes, the error messages show up for me the first time I hit the forum main page. They should go away when we upgrade to the new phpBB version. I "fixed" some of the other errors a while back, but the real long term fix is again a phpBB upgrade.
