The most related US shell is the Merkur, cut out a merkur floor pan and mate it to a escort top half then redo every panel with a cosworth one, it woudl be easier to import one and thats not easy, my advice is to buy a Merkur and be done.

Someone once converted a 1989 Ford Escort with a body kit from the Cosworth. The job was flawless - but the pictures have been long since lost.

Colin would remember glazz74's car from ERDT.

Remember it? Sheeeit, I've got the picture hanging on my wall. It wasn't a full cossie conversion, though.. still just a 1st gen. He put an escossie wing on it, Escort GT skirts, a custom fg rear bumper, a chop-cut-rebuild style cossie front bumper, and custom morrette-style headlights... then topped it off with a serving of metallic purple paint and white 6-spoke 17's. Yummy. :D

Yeah the US escort is based on the 323, while the Esc Cos is off the sierra.

There is a former Group A shell for sale right now in Canada at Four Star Motorsports - a bit rough, but a good body shop could make it right.

suspension parts and stuff fit from a merkur, but no real body panels.

Cheers!
