So what, Cary Elwes, Mandy Pantinkin, and Robin Wright are chopped liver?

Yup. Windshield, door glass, door handles, and quite a bit more Sierra bits.

Did you notice that the RS200 for sale in Nevada has manual window mechanisms? I bet they would fit in an XR.
I wonder if the seller would be willing to part the car out.
I think I'll ask.

I don't think anyone fortunate enough to be in possession of an RS200 is going to part it out...

Or you could just ask me... as I've got a pair of manual regulators setting on my workbench. I pulled them, then realised that I would not be able to reach the door handles if I were strapped into my harnesses. D'oh!

Using a Sierra as the base would mean front engine layout though and this would probably kill the character & performance of the car - maybe they do something clever though and keep the mid layout - I'll find out though.

It was midengined using a Renault transaxle.

That's correct. The Evo kit I was looking into a couple of years back was mid engine and used a Renault UNO transaxle for up to 280 HP and a Porche transaxle for higher HP levels.
