Submit FAQ suggestions here

Post by MarkM » Mon Jan 23, 2006 7:54 pm

A Frequently Asked Question topic has been added to the Forum. It's read-only, but if you want to nominate a thread or URL for FAQ status, you can do it here. Expect posts to this topic to be purged on a regular basis for house-cleaning reasons after they are evaluated.

Yeah, it is. I think I've fixed them all there. I need to see about updating the entire board, but that will take a little longer.

If you just can't wait, any link you see that starts with http://www.merkurclub.com/forum should be replaced with http://forum.merkurclub.com/forum.

Front Wheel Bearing Removal and Replacement - edit/update

Post by CV12Steve » Sat Dec 27, 2008 12:26 am

In the Front Wheel Bearing Removal and Replacement thread the opening post states "You'll have to remove the ball joint (LCA) and the strut from the spindle to get access to the nut." Use a thin-wall 1 5/8" socket and you can R&R the spindle with the strut in place.

Sunroof Removal and Repair with hose mod
Splash Guards
Joint between turbo outlet and downpipe leak
Headlight Restoration
T5 Swap Steps
Updated Parts Sourcing
Bolt-on Mods
Stripped Torx Removal

A "what not to do" could be fun and educational

I know a lot of these could just be searched and viewed elsewhere but I still see these questions asked and it would be nice to have it in one place.
