Folks,
I have three posts to the Picture Page to share today. I added:
- Ray Covino's seat rail mods for mounting his racing seat
- Terry Watson's comparison pictures of the Cosworth and XR4Ti Koni Yellows
- Richard Thompson's picture that compares the hatch lock mechanisms between the Sierra, the XR4Ti and the Scorpio

I think we're well into a record-setting month for February. Enjoy!

The page is getting insane. You could be like Steve Duchene and whine because there was no organization at all; as though chronological order isn't a form of organization. That sort feature helps to some degree. What I could do, for those like me who forget why they were there in the first place, is add a text note area where you could type in what you were there searching for so you had a reminder in case you forgot.DPDISXR4Ti wrote:This thing is going to need a search engine, or at least an index pretty soon! The problem is, every time I go looking for something, I get distracted looking at other pics and forget what I was looking for in the first place!
I just checked Google's web page search feature, but didn't really like what I saw. It would be nice to have a more effective way to search it. For now, we'll just have to deal with it the way it is. Darn.

All,
Just did my first March 2006 update to the Picture Page after a record setting month of February. This time I have 16 pictures of Jim Hunter's V8 conversion to his XR4Ti and I have pictures of Don Sweigert's recent installation of David Godfrey's new version of the billet clutch adjuster.

All,
David Godfrey sent me pics of his recent work in preparation for this year's open track season. Two topics are rolled up into one and DG is responsible for both.
First, we have his adjustable rear ride height setup. I dreamed this up while on a long solo road trip last year and Godfrey put it together. Okay, so I never actually mentioned my idea to him, and my design was a little different, but it's basically the same thing. Yeah. David took it a step further and modified the STAs to allow the spring to drop out the bottom, facilitating super fast spring changes. I believe the claim is that he can switch front AND rear springs in under twenty minutes while he's at the track. (His camber plates allow the springs to come out the top, or at least he's modded his set to do that.)
Second, he wanted to run real Wilwood racing brakes on the rear of his car, but didn't want to give up the functionality of the parking/emergency brake. So, he created a hydraulic hand brake, using the stock handle and ratcheting mechanism that actuates a set of Wilwood single piston calipers specifically for the purposes of emergencies and parking the car on a hill. Good looking stuff. (Would it be any other way?)
Anyway, you know the drill...
