Which brings me to diff mounts. How does one tell if it has gone bad if it is not torn ? Can the scorpio diff mount be used on the XR, specifically from an 88 Scorp into an 87 XR ?
AFAIK the XR and Scorp diff mounts are different. The Scorp bases are larger and the mount itself it "taller". My Scorpio needs a new mount. I was either going to get the MC2 mount and adapt it, or build my own.
Jim and Jeff, good luck with the venture!

It was like that episode of TopGear when the crushed a Sierra. Someone commented that "The Bastards, there were still some good window switches in it !!"
Thanks for the clarification.
Might I suggest an alterntive to Merkur Butchers?

Front suspension, engine plumbing, accessories, etc., Not only for appearance, but longevity. After this stuff is powdercoated, you can hit it with a hammer, and it does'nt come off. Who would'nt like that piece of mind? We're already working on a larger oven to be able to do rear trailing arms, beam, etc.,

Jim,
I am especially interested in the powdercoating as I am wanting to pull the front and rear suspensions of my car, powdercoat, and install all new bushings from MC2. You guys are fairly close too - would it be possible to have it done on an exchange basis? What other products do you offer?
Get un-low-profile! I've never heard of you before 10 minutes ago. All the Merkur suppliers are low-profile enough even with advertising!

Sooo... Who pulled out the diff from under their car last night ? I did. LOL. I didn't put it back, and I will have all day at work to think about how much of a beotch it was to get in back in last time.

In regards to the diff mount, do yourself a favor and get the upgraded one from MC2Racing. It's well worth the $150 and will last a very long time.
