Need a room? Have a room to share?

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

As of this moment, the hotel is sold out. I am trying to secure any rooms that may become available, but nothing is for sure. But all is not lost. If you already have a room and are willing to split it (and the cost), please post it in this thread.

No reservation and you're looking for a room to split? Post it here too. Looking for a piece of floor space for your sleeping bag and air mattress? Post it here! Maybe somebody will offer up some shelter to you (and that case of cold beer)!

I wanted to bring this thread back to the top.

How does it look for people that can't get a room at the Clarion? I had recieved a couple of request for the other half of my room. John "the post-whore-poet" Brennan has that half.

I can still take one person if they want the floor.

I've got a call into the hotel to review final details and see if we can scare up a room or two somehow. Last I spoke to them however, they were still booked solid. At this point, I'm only aware of one couple who is looking for a room, so sharing isn't really an option for them.

If anyone needs to cancel a room, please contact me so that I can ensure we keep the room "in the family". 8)

Sharing a room

Post by StevenD57 »

I am interested in sharing a room if anyone has something available. If I make it it will most likely be VERY late Friday evening.

I will not know for sure until next week. Although if I get some sort of definate confirmation between now and then I will keep folks appraised

i waited too long to get a room at the clarion... so i found a room like 20 mins from the showfield, and booked it online for $5.00... but if anyone has room to spare i'd appreciate it, and help pay for it.

otherwise i'll just travel alone from the budget crackhead hotel i found.

Lets do it like this. At our showfield MCA tent, if you have a room or in need of somewhere to stay, let one of the club officials know.

I still have not had a solid commitment for the floor space available. It is getting too close for screwing around and not having a place to stay.

Better yet, we could have a "bulletin board" area on one of the tables at the tent where people could post, for example:

Room available to share at Clarion tonight
Be here at 4PM and ask for Howard or
call cellphone 303.555.1212

Watcha' think?

Yes, even if we have no actual board, we can still post a note.

Are we doing the nametags again this year?

The nametags are all done. That was Memorial Day's job. In addition I have some special 'MCA Forum' nametags for people to write their names on at the 9pm Friday evening forum get-together in the hotel's cocktail lounge.

I have blank nametags for those that were late to register for the dinner.

Also on the accommodation issue, we have a pinboard and whiteboard planned for the tent so messages can be left. I will print up an 'Accommodation' header for messages to be left under.

Better hurry up! We're about to shut the on-line order system down. Just go here:
http://www.merkurclub.com/carlisle_2k4/ ... r_form.htm

You can pre-order your t-shirt and update your membership at the same time - remember, no membership, no goody bag!

Pick up everything Friday night from 8 - 9:30PM at the Clarion Lobby.

Go do it now - tomorrow WILL be too late!!!

Roberta & I won't be able to make the Carlisle event this year. Family medical issue arose just yesterday & I need to be in KCMO for the next 3-4 days.

So, we have a room reserved at the Clarion hotel for 2 nights (06/04 & 06/05) and dinner tickets for 2. Anyone needing a room that is willing to takeover this reservation can contact me on my cell (864.363.0242) today. However, you've only got until 4 PM EDT to do so or I'll cancel the reservation and let the hotel have the room.
