Unfortunatly, everytime I've had someone other than myself work on my car, I've been dissapointed.
Nobody loves these cars like the people who own them..........

Generally, I only use shops for some specialty, e.g., Mighty Muff'ler on Cave Creek for exhaust, Art Nolte in Scottsdale for turbo stuff, having stuff welded, etc. Tom Dooley introduced me to a very capable guy with a huge shop in his backyard in New River who does custome tuning, fabbing, welding, etc. I'll get his info and share it.

But for general aches and pains, I feel I'm pretty much on my own. I agree it would be nice to find somebody to whom you could turn on occasion and say, "I just can't figure this out," or, "I just don't have the time..."

I was doing a lttle digging-- there was one guy at the old Merk dealer on Camelback in Phoenix who knows his way around our cars, but he has moved out of town. Basically, the answer would be no for general mechanical work-- once again, I tend to only use pros for specific things like alignment, exhaust.... whatever I can't do myself because of the need for specialty equipment/tools, etc.

Sorry, but that's the way it is. Hopefully, someone else may have a better answer.
