Unfortunately, besides the rare and expensive Cossie 4x4 pieces, there are no bolt-on vented rear rotors. But, many vehicles do perfectly well with solid rotors, even cars that see track time. The Focus RS uses 271mm (10.75") solid rotors in the back. These are marginally larger diameter.

Thus far, nobody has complained regarding that. What this does do, since it uses a smaller piston, it allows the rear brakes to actuate earlier, but at a lower force. Total force applied should be pretty close to going the Scorpio/Sierra route, due to the large pad area.

I do recommend combining this with the Focus front. Not only because I do a bolt-in "kit" for that as well, but it's matched to it. The Focus actually has the same size master cylinder as the early XR, so there's no need to go to the "unobtanium" late model (~86.5+) XR master and booster. The brake feel on every focus I've driven has been fantastic. Also, since the Focus has the same mounting height, you could do ST brakes in either 320mm or even 335mm. Requires 3 holes to get drilled in the rotor (I have a jig for that) and slightly different spacers. I also recommend redrilling the mounting holes in the spindle to 14mm if going to the bigger ST brakes.

And it really is unobtainium at this point...

Bump... I have 8 rear "kits" availabe: 2 sets of the V2 of the rear hoses and 6 sets of the V1 hoses. Only have 1 parking brake cable on hand and another 5 coming from England.

I also have 2 sets of each of the V1 and V2 front hoses (V1 can be used with stock XR or Scorpio calipers as well and ONLY with the 278mm brakes).

I only have 4 more complete kits left (Brackets, bolts, hoses, and parking brake cable). These come with my Version 1 of the hoses that are a simple static fitting at the caliper.

I also only have 2 more of the front hoses.

Message me if interested.

Tim do you offer a complete kit for the rear including rotors? I would want the rotors to be drilled for both 4 lug and 5 lug as I will be doing a 5 lug conversion at some point.

That can be done. PM me and we can work out the details. I left it open to people as trying to hold inventory for such a low volume of sales is not logical.

I apologize if I missed this in the thread...

I have a TBird MC (DG adapter) and PBR fronts with Taurus/TC rears. It's been a good setup - no complaints about slack or balance. But I've got sticky handbrake levers on the rear calipers again so I'm thinking about switching out.

Any thoughts on how TBird MC + PBR fronts would interact with the Focus kit? I'd imagine volumes on rear calipers don't vary that much, but I like the experience I have right now and don't want to mess with it if I don't have to. :)
