Hi Everyone,

As we did with the XR4Ti in the other forum, we're going to attempt to make a complete list of changes that were made to the Scorpio during its production run. Since I haven't owned a Scorpio for more than a week, I'm going to need a lot of help with this one. So, if anything needs to be updated or changed, please just reply in this thread - I will then update the master list as time permits.

The point of this is to create resources for the new webpage.

89 washer bottle hidden under passenger fender forward of the front tire. The only thing that sticks out is the filler neck.

early 88(how early I don't know, I don't think this coincides with the euro MY87, to MY88 change) did not have MIL.

Do your have any examples of the clanding colors? The reason I ask, I think there may be more cladding colors depending on your definition of gray and toupe. The two Scorps I have seem to have variation of cladding color:

Diamond white with silver cladding: Image
Sand with an almost burgundy cladding:Image

Hi Jake,

Nope, I just copied the colors from the Scorpio catalogs that I have. I'm not sure on variations from year-to-year or if other colors where offered. I did just buy two black scorpios (88 and 89), so, I'll see if the gray is different as soon as they arrive :)

Love that Diamond White one, IMHO that's the best Scorpio color :)

Thanks,
Bob

From chubb, to tibbie in mid 88(Euro MY 88 vs our early 88 being actual Euro MY 87s). I think this is also when the EATC got an "OFF" switch. The seat design changed here too I think.

trivia(I don't have the answer): did any NA Scorpios have the early(pre 12-1-87 build date) wiring? My 88 EVTM and wiring diags specify that they are to be used ONLY for post 12-1-87 cars...

Power windows were standard all years for North American models. I've seen both 88 and 89 Scorpio's with no sunroof.

What's a "traveler"?? The fuel computer?

Supposedly roof, power windows, roof, and cow hide, as well as auto trans. It may have been AT, power everything. I have to look in my brochures to see what they say.

I have the coin purse that replaces the tripminder.
