What a great tool. I might buy one to keep as an emergency key if myTibbe keys are lost or misplaced.

Hello

On this topic: I contacted Rotunda/Ford at rotunda@service-solutions.com and gave my VIN and they supplied the keycode.
Then there is a EBay vendor selling rebuilt door & ignition-lock cylinders plus keys ( torch, other one and emergency T shaped one ) cut to your keycode.
Here is the seller http://www.ebay.ca/usr/oldsoldier2016?_ ... 2749.l2754.

A few years ago I picked up a key cutting machine at a junk shop for $40. I made an adapter that held the cylindrical portion of the key that allowed me to make copies of Tibbe keys. I just rotated the key & blank around the four "quadrants". I think I bought the blanks from somewhere in China for around $4 a key. Same as newer Transits as I recall.

I ended up selling that key machine for around $250 bucks on ebay. But right after I sold it ebay implemented a policy not to allow selling of key machines. They sent me an email after the sale that was like "new rule, don't sell another one". Apparently it against the law in some parts. Only locksmiths are supposed to have them. I'm sure the locksmith lobby had something to do with the creation of that law. Kind of a foolish law because they are very simple machines.

So simple that now when I need to copy a key I use this...https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2759259
It fits right on the dremel. I'm sure I could even modify this to do Tibbe keys if I had to.
